Shooting San Diego California in San Diego, California: San Diego police shot at a suspect, who is also a parolee, in the Mission Valley riverbed area between Pacific Highway and Morena Boulevard, just north of Interstate 8, on Tuesday. Police believed the man had a handgun and had undisclosed parole violations. A search involving a helicopter, drone, and SWAT team lasted several hours, snarling traffic on Interstate 5 and I-8, before the suspect was located under bridges around 2 p.m. and arrested. The man was not struck by gunfire and no officers were injured. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit took over the investigation.
