Pedestrian Hit Berlin Massachusetts in Berlin, Massachusetts: Massachusetts State Police closed both directions of Interstate 495 in Lowell during the evening rush hour due to an ongoing law enforcement investigation connected to a fatal shooting at the Shops at Highland Commons on the Hudson/Berlin line. Witnesses said a person was shot in the head and killed in the parking lot near the Fit Factory and Mooyah burger places at the plaza. Police cordoned off a section of the parking lot with tape and set up shade covers, and also blocked the Boylston Street overpass to traffic.
