Hit And Run Louisiana Today in Louisiana: A single-vehicle crash near the intersection of La. 86 in Iberia Parish left a Franklin man dead. Louisiana State Police said a truck traveling through the roundabout on La. 86 overturned around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, ejecting 24-year-old passenger Marteilan Mitchell from the truck. The driver fled the scene, and Mitchell was taken to a hospital where he died the next day. The driver, Mason Couvillier of Jeanerette, was arrested on charges of felony hit-and-run, reckless operation, open container, and no seatbelt.
