Dui Crash Irving Texas in Irving, Texas: An Irving man on parole is facing multiple felony charges after police say he drove more than 100 mph and caused a serious crash that left another driver with a brain injury. An Irving police officer responded at approximately 6:35 a.m. on June 17 after observing a black Chevrolet Impala involved in a major crash on northbound State Highway 161 near West Rochelle Road. Officers observed the Impala's driver, identified as 43-year-old Freeman Lynn Jones, discarding white pills under his vehicle, later identified as Hydrocodone Bitartrate/Acetaminophen. One victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, where doctors determined the driver had suffered a brain bleed. Jones was arrested and booked into the Irving Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Driving While Intoxicated, and Possession of a Penalty Group 3 Controlled Substance under 28 grams, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice lodged a parole violation hold.
