Car Crash Barr Florida in Barr, Florida: A 31-year-old Orlando woman, Brittany Clark, was killed by an alligator while swimming with friends on the Econlockhatchee River near the Barr Street Trailhead in the Little Big Econ State Forest in Seminole County on Sunday afternoon. Her boyfriend attempted to pull her from the alligator's grasp and called 911; she suffered devastating injuries to both arms and died en route to the hospital. FWC, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, and the Florida Department of Forestry responded, and a 13-foot alligator at the site plus a 12.5-foot alligator about a half-mile away were captured and killed. A separate alligator bite on June 27 injured a juvenile fishing from shore at Nelson Fish Camp in Marion County.
