One person killed in Route 1 crash in Scarborough

Car Crash Scarborough Maine in Scarborough, Maine: One person died in a crash on U.S. Route 1 in Scarborough, Maine, on Tuesday near 51 U.S. Route 1, close to the entrance to Trask-Decrow Machinery. A photo from the scene showed a car with heavy front-end damage. Scarborough police closed both northbound and southbound lanes of Route 1 between Pleasant Hill Road and Green Acres Lane for nearly a mile. Earlier the same day, a separate crash on Pine Point Road sent a car off the road and into a tree; that road closure was later lifted.
