Vehicle Fire Washington District Of Columbia in Washington, District of Columbia: One person died and others were hurt after a fire broke out in an apartment on the 8th floor of a 10-story building in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SW in Southwest Washington, D.C. Nine adults, two children, two dogs and a cat were displaced. A firefighter and three adults were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. D.C.'s Arson Task Force, made up of DC Fire and EMS, the Metropolitan Police Department, and the ATF, is investigating the fire as arson.
