Car Crash Sumner Kansas in Sumner, Kansas: A 33-year-old Nebraska man from Elkhorn was found dead in Sumner County, Kansas on Sunday after his vehicle was swept away by floodwaters. Sumner County sheriff's deputies were dispatched near Slate Creek Saturday afternoon following a report of a submerged vehicle. Water rescue personnel from the Wellington Fire Department were unable to safely enter the water due to the speed and force of the floodwaters.
