A Kentucky State Police trooper observed the suspected vehicle, a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz SUV, fleeing and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to stop, leading to a pursuit on I-24 before the vehicle turned east on U.S. 62 toward Eddyville, where the chase ended in a pond. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office assisted KSP in the incident.
