Hit And Run Brooksville Florida in Brooksville, Florida: Hernando County deputies responded to a crash in Brooksville on June 26 after Emmanuel Ayala, 39, rear-ended another vehicle, causing injuries. Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but Ayala drove into a neighborhood west of Mobley Road, abandoned his vehicle behind a home, removed the license plate, and fled into the woods on foot with his two young children. While hiding in the woods, Ayala requested an Uber to escape, but the rideshare driver noticed the law enforcement presence and contacted deputies, who took Ayala into custody near the wood line along State Road 50.
