Man slashed during argument near playground in Gowanus

Assault Bridgeport New York in Bridgeport, New York: A 58-year-old man was slashed during an argument near a playground in Gowanus, Brooklyn, according to police. The NYPD said the man was slashed with a cutting instrument on the right side of his face and in his lower back. Paramedics transported him to Methodist Hospital, where he was expected to recover.
