Assault Simi Valley California in Simi Valley, California: On June 17, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM, Simi Valley Police Department officers were dispatched to a disturbance at Target, located at 51 Tierra Rejada Rd. in Simi Valley. A male subject, later identified as 34-year-old Rejean Tabor of Simi Valley, entered the store and began choking a female customer at a checkout counter. Several bystanders, including a juvenile, attempted to help the victim and sustained minor injuries; they were treated and released at the scene. The initial female victim, who did not know Tabor, was transported by family to a local hospital where she remained in stable condition. Tabor was arrested and booked at Ventura County Main Jail on charges of attempted murder, burglary, assault, battery, and cruelty or unjustifiable pain to a minor.
