Hit And Run Augusta Georgia in Augusta, Georgia: One person was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Augusta, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded around 3:47 p.m. to the intersection of Lumpkin Road and Jennifer Court, where a car left the roadway and struck a person performing lawn care work before leaving the scene. Authorities later located the suspected driver using Flock camera technology and took the driver into custody. The victim was transported to Wellstar MCG Health Center with serious injuries, and the crash remains under investigation.
