Pedestrian Hit Kokomo Indiana in Kokomo, Indiana: Indiana State Police are investigating a crash in which a 2014 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Tracy Turner, 51, of Kokomo, struck a pedestrian riding an electric scooter on Sycamore Street near 17th Street. The pedestrian, identified as Brisjonta Richmond, 21, of Kokomo, was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing and the scooter was not street-legal and lacked proper lighting. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene and Richmond was airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later succumbed to his injuries. Turner was not injured, and alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors pending toxicology results.
