Car Crash Of Wellsburg West Virginia in of Wellsburg, West Virginia: Jeffrey Simons of Wellsburg, Iowa, lost control of his tractor-trailer in West Virginia on June 23, 2026, causing a fiery crash in which Simons died. His dog Hennessy, riding in the cab, was pulled from the wreckage by bystanders who stopped to help. The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association in West Virginia took the dog in and, using partial contact information from her collar and social media outreach, located her original family through the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown, Iowa. The family drove from Iowa to West Virginia to bring Hennessy home.
