Garden City man drowns at HorseThief Reservoir in Hodgeman…

Drowning Kansas Today in Kansas: Jose Arturo Orrantia, of Garden City, drowned at HorseThief Reservoir west of Jetmore in Hodgeman County, Kansas on Saturday afternoon. At around 3:10 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call about a possible drowning from the reservoir's swimming area, and the incident turned into a recovery status. Shortly after 5 p.m., the Kansas Wildlife and Parks sonar unit located Orrantia in the water and he was removed. The Hodgeman County Sheriff's Office identified him on Monday afternoon.
