Car Crash Fairmont North Carolina in Fairmont, North Carolina: A 2013 Kia traveling on Lizzie Road near Iona Church Road just west of Fairmont in Robeson County, North Carolina, went off the right side of the road around 11 p.m. on May 16, struck a ditch, and overturned several times before landing on its roof in a field. Passenger Ta'Nyah Pittman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to a hospital for injuries and later released. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol notified the Alcohol Law Enforcement Division after determining alcohol was a contributing factor, and four people were subsequently charged in connection with providing alcohol to underage occupants, including charges against a gas station clerk and store owner.
