Car Crash Iowa Today in Iowa: A 911 call came in at around 4:44 p.m. reporting a train crash at the Highway T12 railroad crossing near North 39th Avenue E, near Newton, in Jasper County. A Dodge Dart was pushed onto the railroad tracks and came to rest before being struck by the train. The driver jumped out of the vehicle while it was being pushed down the tracks, sustaining injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, and was hospitalized. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash, which caused a long road blockage.
