Fall Injury Northern Oakland Michigan in northern Oakland, Michigan: A construction worker fell into a trench in northern Oakland County on the morning of Tuesday, June 30, 2026, while a backhoe was digging in a rural area on Barber Road, four to five miles northeast of downtown Oxford. The trench measured 5 feet wide and 10 feet deep. First responders pulled him out and transported him to the hospital with a police escort. Oxford Police and Fire remained on scene as the investigation continued; his condition was not released.
