Workplace Accident Monte Cristo Utah in Monte Cristo, Utah: A 56-year-old construction worker was killed and three others were injured when a sudden gust of wind caused roof trusses to collapse at a cabin under construction in the Wasatch Ridge area of Monte Cristo, Utah. The Rich County Sheriff's Office received a 911 text about the industrial accident at approximately 11:02 a.m. Monday. A 42-year-old male sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a regional hospital, a 29-year-old male was taken by ground ambulance to a nearby medical facility, and a fourth worker was treated at the scene for less severe injuries. The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Rich County Sheriff's Office, and Weber County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
