Car Crash Jefferson Texas in Jefferson, Texas: A 26-year-old driver of a 2023 Autocar commercial truck tractor failed to yield the right-of-way at a crossover yield intersection on State Highway 73 west of the Taylor Bayou Bridge in Jefferson County, Texas, at about 4:35 a.m. The truck tractor pulled into the path of a 2014 Honda and was struck in the rear by the Honda. The 31-year-old driver of the Honda, from Baytown, died at the scene. The truck tractor driver, David Vasquez Jr. of San Juan, was transported to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating.
