Assault Chicago Illinois in Chicago, Illinois: A CBS News Chicago reporter and photographer were attacked Monday afternoon near the Adler Planetarium while preparing for a live report, according to the station and Chicago police. Multiple men arrived in a white truck, exited the vehicle, and rushed at the victims while shouting racial slurs at one of the journalists. When a dog did not attack, the suspects damaged the crew's equipment, smashing the photographer's camera and the windshield of the news truck. Police said the incident occurred in the 900 block of East Solidarity Drive at about 4:25 p.m., and multiple suspects were arrested.
