Vehicle Fire Wisconsin Today in Wisconsin: A southbound BNSF train experienced smoke and flames from its rear locomotive on Saturday in Crawford County, Wisconsin. Railroad personnel safely stopped the train at the intersection of County Road K and State Highway 35 in the Township of Prairie du Chien. The Rural Bridgeport & Prairie du Chien Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, which was believed to have been caused by a mechanical malfunction. Portions of Limery Road and County Road K were closed for several hours during the response.
