Bicycle Crash Berkeley California in Berkeley, California: A Berkeley woman in her 70s was cycling westbound on Marin Avenue with a partner when she collided with the driver of a black Hyundai Tucson SUV near the intersection of Marin Avenue and The Alameda in North Berkeley just before 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday. The cyclist fell to the ground and reported abdominal pain with possible clavicle injury. Berkeley Fire Department transported her to Highland Hospital Code 2 for treatment. The driver, who was holding a toddler at the scene, may have been preparing to turn right onto The Alameda. Berkeley police responded with at least six cruisers and closed Marin Avenue from The Alameda south to Monterey Avenue during the emergency response. The investigation is ongoing.
