Assault Simi Valley California in Simi Valley, California: On June 5, 2026, at approximately 1:00 PM, Simi Valley Police Department officers responded to a reported assault near Township Avenue and Tapo Street in Simi Valley, California. An adult female victim reported being struck by a substance discharged from gel blasters by a group of juveniles while she was seated inside her vehicle with the window down. She detected a strong odor consistent with urine. When she exited her vehicle to confront the juveniles, they fled the area, and an unknown male in the parking lot shouted a racial slur. Detectives determined two male juveniles fired in the direction of the victim, and one juvenile was cited. The case remains under active investigation, and a hate crime has not been charged against the cited juvenile.
