Car Crash Westwood Massachusetts in Westwood, Massachusetts: A 32-year-old Walpole man was killed after the Nissan Rogue he was driving struck a utility pole and then crashed into the Budget Inn along Route 1 in Westwood on June 29. The crash occurred around 4 p.m. at 71 Providence Highway, causing the utility pole to fall and knock out power to the surrounding area. Emergency crews extricated the driver from the wreckage and transported him to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. No additional injuries were reported at the motel, and the crash remains under investigation.
