Car Crash Pismo Beach California in Pismo Beach, California: Gary Noe Arias, 27, of Santa Maria, was driving a 2020 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Highway 101 near Pismo Beach at approximately 11:53 p.m. on June 23, 2026, when he made a sudden right turn and drifted off the roadway. A 1991 BMW 535i traveling southbound at 65 mph then struck the disabled Toyota. Arias was declared deceased at the scene at 12:20 a.m. The 73-year-old BMW driver sustained minor to moderate injuries and was not suspected of impairment. The cause of the initial rollover remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
