27-year-old bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash in Palatka

Bicycle Crash Palatka Florida in Palatka, Florida: A 27-year-old Gainesville woman riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a 2020 Kia Forte in a hit-and-run crash in Palatka, Florida. The Kia was traveling westbound on St. Johns Avenue near Wes Larson Boulevard when it swerved into the left portion of the two-lane roadway and struck the bicyclist at about 9:45 p.m. The 35-year-old male driver fled the scene on foot. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information about the crash and the driver.
