Drowning Georgia Today in Georgia: First responders recovered the body of 14-year-old Tyler Brown on Monday night after he drowned while swimming and diving with friends in Armuchee Creek near Armuchee Park on Jones Mill Road in Floyd County. Brown jumped into the creek from a popular diving rock at around 8:45 p.m., and crews from the Rome-Floyd Fire Department and Floyd County Police Department began searching immediately. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources investigated, and the Floyd County Coroner's Office ruled his death an accident.
