Car Crash Flushing New York in Flushing, New York: A 13-year-old boy riding on the back of a motorized scooter was killed in Queens when the teen driver, also 13, slammed into the open driver-side door of a parked Honda Pilot on 162nd Street in Flushing around 11:36 a.m. Monday. The impact hurled both boys into a passing delivery truck and under its rear wheels. Both teens were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where the passenger died and the driver was listed in stable condition. The truck driver, who had been circling the block looking for parking, remained at the scene.
