Car Crash Flushing New York in Flushing, New York: A 13-year-old boy operating a moped and a teenage passenger crashed into an open driver's side door of a parked black SUV on 162nd Street in Flushing, Queens, on Monday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. The moped operator tried to swerve to avoid the door and lost control. The passenger suffered fatal injuries after falling off the moped and making contact with a southbound truck. The 13-year-old driver was hospitalized.
