Bicycle Crash Ellicott City Maryland in Ellicott City, Maryland: A 12-year-old Ellicott City girl, Sanvika Selluka, was struck and killed by a dump truck after falling off her bicycle into the truck's path near Patapsco Valley State Park. The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. on the 2000 block of Daniels Road, which borders the Patapsco River and park. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the 2004 Sterling LT9500 dump truck was uninjured and remained at the scene. Howard County Police said a preliminary investigation suggested the crash was an accident.
