Woman struck and killed crossing State Road 33 in Lakeland
Pedestrian Hit Lakeland Florida in Lakeland, Florida: A woman was hit and killed while crossing State Road 33 in Lakeland on June 28, 2026. Lakeland police responded to the 5700 block of State Road 33, a section of Lakeland Hills Boulevard southwest of the Villages at Bridgewater community, at approximately 12:37 a.m. The woman stepped onto the roadway and was struck by a vehicle. She was transported to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The Lakeland Police Department's Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
