Pedestrian Hit Phoenix Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona: A fatal hit-and-run crash occurred early Sunday morning around 6:20 a.m. near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix. A caller reported that the driver of a BMW fled the scene after a crash. A 60-year-old woman driving a Toyota Camry was found with serious injuries, and after the first collision the BMW struck a pedestrian, who was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition and later pronounced dead. The BMW driver was not located at the scene but was later found at his home with serious injuries and will be booked for hit and run and other charges once medically cleared.
