Two-vehicle crash on Alabama 17 in Sumter County kills Ward…

Car Crash Alabama Today in Alabama: A two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7:29 a.m. Sunday on Alabama 17 near Sumter County Road 42, about 11 miles south of York, Alabama. A 34-year-old Ward woman was airlifted to a Tuscaloosa hospital and later pronounced dead from her injuries. The other driver, Pritchett, was injured and transported to Ochsner Rush Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. Authorities said Pritchett was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol troopers are continuing to investigate.
