Car Crash Flames Saginaw Michigan in flames Saginaw, Michigan: Two people were killed and one was hospitalized after a crash at the intersection of South Washington Avenue and Gallagher Avenue on Saginaw's south side late Sunday night, according to the Saginaw Police Department. Officers responded at approximately 11:46 p.m. on June 28 and found the vehicle's engine compartment covered in flames; the Saginaw Fire Department extinguished the fire. The 24-year-old driver, a Saginaw woman, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Front-seat passenger Aaliyah Olivarez, a 24-year-old Saginaw woman, was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died from her injuries. Rear-seat passenger Brandon Vanwormer-Shepard, 29, of Saginaw, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Saginaw County Crash Team is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
