Two killed in single-vehicle utility pole crash in Saginaw
Car Crash Michigan Today in Michigan: Saginaw Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed two people. The crash occurred around 11:46 p.m. on June 28 at the intersection of S. Washington Avenue and Gallagher Avenue when the vehicle struck a utility pole. The vehicle's engine compartment was engulfed in flames when officers arrived, and Saginaw Fire Department personnel extinguished the fire. The driver, 24-year-old Aaliyah Olivarez, was extracted and transported to a local hospital where she later died; rear-seat passenger Brandon Vanwormer-Shepard, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
