Semi Truck Crash Florida Today in Florida: Two people died the afternoon of June 29 after a crash on Florida's Turnpike in Martin County that shut down all northbound lanes. The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the crash at 3:12 p.m. just south of the Palm City exit at Martin Downs Boulevard. A 41-year-old Palm City man driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue collided with the rear of a northbound semi-truck driven by a 38-year-old Leesburg man; the Nissan driver was taken to Florida Coast Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, where he died at 1:55 a.m. The semi-truck driver reported no injuries.
