Vehicle Fire Utah Colorado in Utah, Colorado: Three wildland firefighters were killed and two others injured in a burnover incident while battling lightning-caused fires along the Utah-Colorado border on Saturday. The firefighters deployed fire shelters as flames overtook them; the two survivors sustained burn injuries and were evacuated by helicopter. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis declared an emergency for the Snyder Mesa area and authorized the National Guard to help recover the remains of the deceased firefighters.
