Vehicle Fire Of Glendale Colorado in of Glendale, Colorado: Three wildland firefighters were killed Saturday when they were overrun by a wildfire along the Colorado-Utah border and tried to shield themselves from the flames by deploying tent-like emergency shelters. The crew was a specialized smokejumper unit that deploys by helicopter to remote areas to suppress new and rapidly escalating fires. Two other crew members sustained burn injuries. Federal officials identified the killed firefighters as Emily Barker, 38, of Clinton Township, Michigan; Nick Hutcherson, 27, of Glendale, Arizona; and Sydney Watson, 26, of Warrior, Alabama.
