Vehicle Fire Of Glendale Colorado in of Glendale, Colorado: Three wildland firefighters were killed Saturday when they were overrun by a wildfire along the Colorado-Utah border and tried to shield themselves from flames by deploying tent-like emergency shelters. The firefighters were part of a specialized smokejumper crew that is inserted by helicopter into remote areas to suppress new and rapidly escalating fires. Two other crew members sustained burn injuries. Federal officials identified the deceased as Emily Barker, 38, of Clinton Township, Michigan; Nick Hutcherson, 27, of Glendale, Arizona; and Sydney Watson, 26, of Warrior, Alabama.
