Vehicle Fire Colorado Today in Colorado: Three wildland firefighters assigned to the Rifle Helitack crew died while engaged in initial attack operations on the Knowles Fire in western Colorado on Saturday. Two additional firefighters were injured during the incident and are receiving medical care. The fire, which has since merged with other fires and is now managed as the Snyder Fire, is estimated at over 28,000 acres along the Colorado-Utah border.
