Texas deputy killed when commercial truck strikes DWI crash…

Dui Crash The Woodlands Texas in The Woodlands, Texas: Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy Erika Serrato, 24, was struck and killed by a commercial truck pulling a trailer while she was outside her patrol vehicle directing traffic around a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 45 in The Woodlands, north of Houston, around 2:39 a.m. on June 28, 2026. The truck also struck two marked patrol vehicles with emergency lights activated, and another deputy was hit by debris and suffered minor injuries. Ashton Jammer, 34, one of the drivers involved in the original crash, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and booked into the Montgomery County Jail; the commercial truck driver was also taken to a hospital. The fatal crash remains under investigation.
