Texas deputy killed when commercial truck strikes DWI crash…

Car Crash The Woodlands Texas in The Woodlands, Texas: Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy Erika Serrato, 24, was struck and killed by a commercial truck pulling a trailer while she was directing traffic at a multi-vehicle crash scene on Interstate 45 in The Woodlands, north of Houston, around 2:39 a.m. on June 28, 2026. The truck also struck two marked patrol vehicles with emergency lights activated, and another deputy suffered minor injuries from debris. Ashton Jammer, 34, one of the drivers involved in the original crash, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and the commercial truck driver was taken to a hospital. The fatal crash remains under investigation.
