Texas deputy killed by commercial truck at DWI crash scene…

Car Crash The Woodlands Texas in The Woodlands, Texas: Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy Erika Serrato, 24, was struck and killed by a heavy-duty commercial truck pulling a trailer while she was outside her patrol vehicle directing traffic at a multi-vehicle DWI-related crash scene on Interstate 45 in The Woodlands, north of Houston, around 2:39 a.m. on June 28, 2026. The truck also struck two marked patrol vehicles with emergency lights activated. Another deputy was hit by debris and suffered minor injuries. Ashton Jammer, 34, one of the drivers involved in the original crash, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. The commercial truck driver was taken to a hospital, and the fatal crash remains under investigation.
