Texas deputy killed by commercial truck at DWI crash scene…

Dui Crash The Woodlands Texas in The Woodlands, Texas: A Montgomery County Sheriff's deputy was killed early Sunday morning when a commercial truck pulling a trailer struck her while she was directing traffic at a multi-vehicle crash scene on Interstate 45 in The Woodlands, north of Houston. Deputy Erika Serrato, 24, was outside her patrol vehicle with emergency lights activated when the truck hit her and two marked patrol vehicles; she was taken to a local hospital and died from her injuries. Another deputy suffered minor injuries from debris. Ashton Jammer, 34, one of the drivers involved in the original DWI-related crash, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and the commercial truck driver was also hospitalized. The fatal crash remains under investigation.
