Car Crash Port Carbon Pennsylvania in Port Carbon, Pennsylvania: An SUV slammed into Little Sunshine's Daycare Center at 61 Washington St. in Port Carbon Borough, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, around 8:25 a.m. on Monday. Pennsylvania State Police say the driver was operating the vehicle at high speeds in an erratic manner before the crash, leaving the roadway, striking a reinforced concrete bollard, and going airborne before crashing into the kitchen area of the daycare. At the time, 22 children and 4 adult caretakers were in the facility's dining room; everyone inside was unharmed and evacuated. The driver was transported to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
