Shirley man arrested for DWAI after 100 mph crash in Bellpo…

Dui Crash Bellport New York in Bellport, New York: A Shirley man was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs after he allegedly caused a crash in Bellport two months ago while driving more than 100 mph. Both he and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The passenger, 28, of Mastic Beach, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue with minor injuries, while the driver, 25, of Shirley, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. On June 29, he was arrested at the Fifth Precinct and charged with DWAI by Drugs, Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, Reckless Driving, and Speeding.
