Dui Crash North Carolina Today in North Carolina: North Carolina State Highway Patrol arrested Wimandre Anton Hendricks, 33, of Raleigh, on eight charges including felony involuntary manslaughter, misdemeanor death by vehicle, and exceeding safe speed after a fatal crash on Interstate 87 on Sunday night. The crash killed Derick Dewayne Wright and seriously injured Dante Moliek Barnes. Troopers said Hendricks was driving at a speed greater than reasonable under rainy conditions, had a history of traffic offenses including a 2019 DWI, and refused a blood alcohol test after the crash.
