Car Crash Prior North Carolina in prior, North Carolina: A 33-year-old Raleigh man lost control of his 2014 Chevrolet Camaro on Interstate 87 southbound near mile marker 11 around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, running off the road onto the shoulder and striking two people standing outside a disabled vehicle that had been involved in a prior collision. One of the two, a 29-year-old Raleigh man, died at the scene. The other was transported to WakeMed with life-threatening injuries. Highway Patrol cited excessive speed and unsafe tires as contributing factors and said impairment was not suspected.
